Design principles

Simplicity is a project decision.

A clear interface begins with a clear process.

More fields do not automatically create better information. Every field should help someone carry out a task, make a decision or understand a record later.

Design for the person using the system in the field. Use familiar terms, show relevant questions and make the next action easy to recognise.

Test with a real workflow before rolling out widely. A short pilot often reveals where terminology, responsibilities or approval steps need attention.

Make room for clarity.
